DEATH OF CAPTAIN CAMERON.
Cable advice has been received of the death at Southampton', England, on March 13, of Captain J. G. Cameron, Commodore of the White Star line. Deceased was very well. known, in New Zealand, having comnianded some of tho company's ships trading to this country. Ho was a very popular
officer, and his death will be regretted by a very 'large circle of friends. Ho married a daughter of tho Hon. John Martin, M.L.C., and he was a brother-in-law of Dr. Martin and Mr. Robert O'Connor, and a relative of Mrs. Tweed, all of Wellington. Deceased leaves a widow and a son and daughter. He retired twelvo months ago, and paid a visit to New Zealand for tho benefit of his health. ■
