The bottom, portion consisted of a 12-gallon copper boiler, which was set in brickwork. To the boiler a head was fitted, and attached to the head was a long copper worm,-which'coiled away into a large water boiler, where it was submerged in water with the object, it is claimed, of carrying out - the cooling process of the distillation. '..",' The "still," on being removed from, the ■brickwork,' was found to contain some gallons of liquid.
