Mr. Bate thought that tho roport should be- circulated and considered at next meeting. . ' ■ Mr. J. P. Blackloclc was of opinion that it would be better to have only six districts. There were, he thought, far too many teams. Mr. Bato said that it was no good having districts without grounds. The .secretary thought that there would be a better chanco of obtaining grounds if the scheme wore adopted. If tho proposal were adopted it would have to be confirmed at a future meeting. Mr. Salmon pointed out that matting would have to be put down if the use of tho Dupper Street and Kelburno grounds wero granted. It would bo two years at least before they could bo used as practice grounds. Mr. Wilson thought that the districts should be so arranged that each one would .have a ground. The adoption of a district schemo would do good to cricket. It was agreed that tho report be printed and submitted to' members of tho committee, delegates, and various clubs.
