TO PRESERVE FRENCH BEANS.

A correspondent writes saying that sho has a quantity of French beans in her garden, and would like to know of some way by which they may bo preserved for winter use. The following is a recipo supplied by a Wellington woman, who says that sho has proved itj use:—Take tho beans, string them carefully, and slicn them. Put them into a basin and carefully sprinkle them with salt, and leave them all night. Next morning put them into jars, covor with boiling water, screw down tho tops, and leave tho jars in a dry place.
