FOOTBALL.

MAEIST BROTHERS' OLD BOYS. About twenty-fivo members of tho _ Marist Bros.' Old Boys' Association met last night for the purpose of forming an Association football club. Tho chair was occupied by Mr. C. Gamble. The motion forming the club was proposed by Mr. M'Keown, and carried. The following officers were elected.—Patron: His Grace Archbishop Redwood! president, Brother Justin; vice-presidents. Mr. Dolievty, Mrs. M. Kennedy; Messrs. A. H. Casey. .T. J. Devine, Rev. Father Ilickson, Very Rev. Father O'Shea, and Mr. M'Parland; secretary pro tern.i Mr. A. P. Levin; lion, treasurer, Mr. D. Cashman; management committee, Messrs. M'Keown, Gamble, Duffy, Miller, and Clements; delegates to the Wellington Football Association, Messrs. Miller and Gamble. It was decided to enter teams for all grades, the formation of the junior and third class teams being left in tile hands of Messrs. Clements, Rosengrave, and Cottrell, who will report to a meeting next week. Green and white wero chosen for the colours of the club.' The question of securing a gymnasium for practice was left in tho hands of the management committee. The first practice of the new club will bo held on Saturday, Mi'. A. P. Levin promising to provide a football for the purpose.

POLHILL CLUB. The Polhill Football Club held their annual meeting at the Slitchelltown School last night. Mr. D. F. Skinn;r presiding. Twenty-fivo new members were oleoted. It was dcidcd to write to the Albion Club (Slasterton) f6r the purpose of arranging a match for Easter Saturday. Practice games are to commence nest Saturday. Office-bearers wero electcd as follow:— Patron, Sir. Mitchell; president, Mr. D. 1. Skinner; vice-presidents, Messrs. Carmody, W. F. Hames, Kearney, Luke. S. G. Matin, H. E. Airth, SI. Ivyne, and J. F;. Cooley; club captain, Mr. Huxford; secretary, Sir. G. Thompson; treasurer, Sir. B. Ridley; Management Committee, S[ess"s. Gordon, George, G. Simon, B. Andrew's, Stenson; auditors, Messrs. Robinson and Kearney; delegate to Rugby Union, Mr. B. Ridley. Y.M.C.A. BOYS' CLUB. The third annual meeting of the Y.SF.C.A. Boys' Football Club was held in tho rooms last evening. Between thirty and forty boys were present. The annual report and balance-sheet showed the club to bo in a very healthy financial condition. It was stated that during the past year the club had succeeded in carrying off the Fourth-Class and Charity Caps. Tho following officers were elected Secretary and treasurer, Sir. W. J. Slears; Senior Selection Committee, V. Richardson, V. Fauldcr, and Tempest; Junior Selection Committee, F. Aicken, K. Nicol, and G. Holloway.

PETONE CLTJB. The nineteenth annual meeting; of the Petone Club was held in the Oddfellows' Hall last evening, Mr. Lynsky presiding. The report and balance-sheet (whioh shows a credit balance of ■£2!)) were read and adopted. Last year the club were successful in securing the junior, and fourth and fifth grado championships, and were runners-up in the senior ami third grades, playing in all M matches, winning 51, losing 9, and drawing 4; points for, 1001; against, The committee congratulate Messrs. Swindell and Isherwood as coaches for the position in which tho fourth and fifth class teams were placed. The following officers were elected for tho ensuing year President, Mr. A. Coles (reelected); vice-prtsi'cleiits, firs. Ross and Perry, Messrs. T. M. Wilford, M.P., Martin, Come, Palmer, M'Eivcn. Lynsky, J. W. M'Ewan, Mothes. Smith. Short, Priest, Br. Harding, Dnvis, Ryder, King (re-elected*, and M. Wilson) club captain, Mr, W. Ilardham (re-elected); vice-Captain, Mr. .L Ryan (re-elected); Selection Committee, captain, vice-captain, and Mr. G. H. Selwoorl (re-elected); treasurer, Mr. G. IT. Solwood (re-elected); secretary. Mr. T. Cairns; assistant secretary, Mr. G. Miller; Management Committee, captain, vice-eaptain, secretary, and treasurer, and Messrs. Swindell, Price, and Swindell;, delegates to Rugby Union, Messrs. H.inlham, Lynsky, fine! Eraser; auditors, Messrs. Wynyard and Lynsky,•'coaches for junior, third, fourth, and fifth-class teams, Mesr J Eraser, Jones, Swindell, and Isherwood respectively. ( Seventeen new members were clected, and eight resignations received. Messrs. Selwood, Swindell, Cairns, nild Ryan were elected life members.

A motion of condolence was passed by the meeting to Mr. R. Mothes (a vice-president of tho club) and his family regarding their present bereavement.
