LARGE AUSTRALIAN DECREASE. Tho 1908-9 butter export season from Victoria to London lias now practically closed, shipments by tho mail steamer, tho China, amounting to only 102 caries, or 21 tons, Fair shipments are still being made from Sydnev and Brisbane, tho quantity takon by tho China from Sydney amounting to 3,112 cases, or tons. Other recent shipments from Sydney comprise:—l9S6 eases, or 49J tons, per Oroya; 135 cases, or 31 tons, per Runic; and 3734 cases, or 03} tons, per Everton Grange. The Everton Grange also took 602 cases, or .15 tons, from Brisbane, and 25 cases tinned butter from Melbourne. Shipments for England since July 1, 1903, compare with tho corresponding period of tho three previous seasons as follow:— 1905-G. 1906-7. 1907-8. 1908-9. From Tons. Tons. Tons. Tons. By tho Miltiades on Thursday, about 300 cases butter were shipped from Melbourne lo South Africa.
