Mr. Alexander Wilkic, M.l\, secretary to the Shipwrights' Society, in an interview,said he had ho objection to colonial artisans being employed ,on tho Clydo if the object was to learn warship building. It would be many years beforo Australia could competo with British works, but repair yards would probably necessitate many skilled English workmen going to Australia.
