6 DIAMOND CLUB. The sixteenth annual meeting of the Diamond Football Club will be held to-morrow evening at Armit's. The annual report to oo presented at the meeting states that the receipts from all sources during the year amounted to <Cl 5 Is. 7d., and the expenditure to .£ll 175., leaving a credit balance in hand of X 3 4s. 7d. The club's record for tho season is as follows:— Senior League, First Division team: Championship matches—Played, 14; won, 11; lost, 2; drawn, 1; goals for, 40; against, 10. Charity Cup matches—Played, 3; won, 3; lost, 0; drawn, 0; goals for, 7; against, 4. Total, all matchesPlayed, 17; won, 14; lost, 2; drawn, 1; goals for, 47; against, 14. _ _ _ Senior League, Second Division loam: Championship matches—Played, 32; won, 10; lost, 2; drawn, 0; goals for, 39; against, 14. Challenge Cup-Played, 2; won, 1; lost, 1; drawn, 0; goals for, 5; against, 4. Total, alh matchesPlayed, 14; won, 11; lost, 3; drawn, 0; goals for, 43: against, 18. Junior League, First Division team: Championship matches—Played, 11; won. 2; lost, 8; drawn, 1; goals for, 12; against, 38. Junior League, Third Division team: Championship matches—Played, 14; won, 10; lost, 1; drawn, 3; goals for, '33; against, 9. From the above it will be seen that tho season was a most successful one from a player's point of view. The Senior League, First Division team wero-snccessful in annexing both the championship shield and the Charity Cup. Owing to the keen spirit of the contests iu this grade tho final issue was never certain, and the wins of the team were all the more creditable. The Second Division team, although gaining neither of the coveted honours, played remarkably. well and finished second in the champion-ship-competition, but only reached the seraifinal in the. Challenge Cup. Their performance was an excellent one, considering that they were probably the lightest team in their grade. As for the Junior League, First Division team, they did not justify their opening performances, and before tho season was far advanced they had a great difficulty in getting a full team in the field. The Third Division (boys' team) again showed great interest in their competition, securing the position of in the championship. Some of the members Showed great promise, and will no doubt soon be capable of earning-their places in the higher grade teams. 1 Messrs. Taylor (captain), Roberts, Thor'ey, and Eeddy, were selected in tho Wellington representative team, which succeeded in winning Hio Brown Shield tournament held in Dunedin. Junior representative honours were gained by Messrs. C. Collins, J. Emley, J. Hall, and L. Ilobinson. SELWYN CLUB. The Selwyn Football Club held their annual meeting at Austin's rooms, Lainbton Quay, on Friday evening, Sir. >S. Luke presiding. The secretary was instructed to write to the Rovers' Clul) (Hastings) and tho Albion Club (Masterton) for the purpose of arranging matches at Faster time, and to extend an invitation to the Albion Club to play a return match. The club have arranged for the use of tho Athletic Club's gymnasium on, Tuesdays and Fridays. Mr. N. Austin has placed a trophy at the disposal of the club.
