The annual demonstration of tho United Firo Brigade Association was concluded yesterday in dull weathor, in.tho presenco of between 3003 and 4000 spectators. As on previous days, tho events were run off promptly, with tho result that tho demonstration finished in good time. The final points for*' tho shields placo Timnru winners of tho pchampion shield, Masterton winners j of the hi"h pressure, and Napier winners of tho Speights shield (for manual events). Tho concluding day's competitions resulted as follow:—; One-man Ladder—Masterton 1, after a dead heat with Auckland City; Duncdin City 3, and Ashburton 4, after a dead lieafc between six teams for third place. ' Rescuo Events (two men). —Napier 23 4-ssec\, 1; Auckland City, 25 l-fisec.', 2 aftef a doad heat with Dimedin City; One-i hunga,*2o l-6sec., 4, after a dead heat with Waihi., Alarm- and Disabled Hose (fivo men).— Timaru, 58 2-ssec., 1-; Dannevirke, 59 2-ssec., 2; Dunodin City, GOsec., 3; Napier 60 3-osec., 4, after a dead heat with Spit. ' An old firemen's two-men coupling event wa3 placed on tho programme, and was won by Roberts and MacDennott (26 4-ssec.) with Moulden and Fonton (33 l-sscc.), 2nd' and Bevcridgo and Lepino (3450 c.), 3rd. '
