Unofficial observers consider that Austria-Hungary is determined to fasten a quarrel upon Scrvia, and they discuss tho prospect of an AustroHungarian ultimatum to Scrvia. THE AUSTRIAN AND SERVIAN NOTES. Some days ago Baron Aerenthal, _ AustrqHimgarian'Minister for Foreign Affairs, intimated that when Servia assures Austria-Hun-gary of her intentions to maintain peaceful relations, he will be prepared to negotiate for a renewal of the commercial treaty which expires on March 31. He objects to the proposed Conference of the Powers meeting until matters are arranged. with Servia. , . . , , , Subsequently, in a revised Note (which had been, it seems, revised by M. Isvolsky, -Kussian Minister for Foreign Affairs), Servia informed the Powers that she is prepared to maintain r.uninl neighbourly relations with AustriaHungary, and demands from Austria-Hungary no compensations, territorial or otherwise, arising out of the annexation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Tho latter is declared to be a European question, and Servia relies upon the equity of the Powers in the matter, and unreservedly places her cause in their hands.
