ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL.

MIRAMAR RANGERS' CLUB. The annual meeting of the Miramar Rangers' Football Club was held on Wednesday evening at Mr. J..M. Cumming's rooms, Miramar, Mr. H. Power presiding. A number of new members were admitted, and there is a prospect of three teams being entered for the fourth and fifth-class competitions this Tho annual report and balance-sheet were read and adopted, the latt-er showing a credit balance of 10s. ■ Tho report states:—"We were able- to put two teams in tho fifth-class competition last year. Tho A team played 17 matches, won 5, drew 1, and lost 11. Two protests were lodged against two of the lost matches on the ground of the club's opponents playing boys ovor age, and both were upheld. The B team wore not so fortunate, being comprised of boys under the age of 13, who hau to compete against boys from 13 to 15 years of age. • Nevertheless each Saturday they played with a full nnu-iter.. an! rrredit is duo to them for their pluck and eagerness to learn." The following office-bearers were elected: — Patron, Mr. C. J. Crawford; president, Mr. H. R. Power (rc-clocted); vice-presidents, Messrs. N. Bell, F. East, W. Telford, H. Redshnw, R. Moffatt, 11. K. Robcrtshaw (reelected), H. N. M'Leod, A. Kercher, W. J. Cummings, J. Heath, W. Cheshire, J. Paul, J. Mnrshal!, W. Rowntree, J. Lindup, R. Chase Morris, and W. J. Wyatt; hon. secretary and treasurer, Mr.- Frank Ilcdshaw (reelectcdi. At tho conclusion, hearty votes of thanks were accorded to Mr. Frank Redshaw, who ably filled the ofilco of' secretary and treasure/, and to whom the success of tho club was mainly duo in this thoir initial year; also to Mr. Power for presiding, and to those who assisted in placing the boys on tho field properly uniformed.
