STEIN'S EXPLORATIONS.
IN CENTRAL ASIA. THE CHINESE AND THE EARLY GREEKS, (nr TEr.EGßArn—raEss association—corrmont.) London, March 9. Dr. M. A. Stein, leader of the Indian Government Mission to Central Asia, recently returned to London, after covering ten thousand miles in some of tho wildest, bleakest regions on the earth's surface. His journey occupied three years. ' Dr. Stein detailed beforo the Royal Geographical. Society his discoveries in ChineseTurkestan. They included thousands of ancient documents—some bearing Greek seals —and wooden records of the Chinese trading and military occupation beforo Christ to 800 years after. The Great Wall of China had 'once continued a long distance westward. Dr. Stein's was ono of the most interesting stories told before tho society for many years.
