General Botha, Premier of tho Transvaal, speaking at Standerton, said ho opposed tho idea of taking a referendum on the draft South African Constitution, as it would be wrong and danrjerous to do so. He added that had a referendum been taken on the question of the Chinese they would never have left the cauntrv.
