Mr- John Dillon (Nationalist M.P. for East Mayo), speaking at Battorsca, declared that tho Nationalists strongly support the Government's Irish Land Bill (which aims at strengthening tho fman.ee of tho land purchaso scheme, and providing powers of compulsory resumption). Mr. Dillon said the Bill contained machinery remedying tho provailing miserable conditions. Ho added that tho Nationalist party intended to fight against an increaso in tho Navy Estimates, as being calculated to involvo an anti-Irish policy. Derraot O'Brien, , Irish Leaguo organiser, was sentenced to three months' imprisonment in default of giving bail at Templemore, 'Tipperary, for making inflammatory speeches, denonncing prominent graziers.
