Tlio depth is now 1637 feet, and the manager states that excellent showings of oil have cccurjed in the last few days. Tlio formation being now passed through is sandstone, and tho manager considers tho well more favourablo at its depth than any ho has seen here. He gets oil between each of the dilferent strata passed through.
