CIVIL BUSINESS.
(Before Dr.' A. M'Arthur, S.M.) POSSESSION OF A HORSE. Finality was reached in the hearing of ovidonco in tho case William Henry Hook, engineer, v. Honry Arthur Gold, accountant, trustee in the assigned estate of Lonis Henry Hook, formerly a storekeeper in Wellington, a claim for possession of a horso valued at £20, and £10 damages for detention. Dofendnnt contended that at the time of tho execution of tho doed of assignment by Louis Hook tbo horso was in tho assignor's possession, and consequently formed part of his estate. His Worship reserved his decision until Friday next in order to look into certain points of law raised. Mr. P. W. Jackson appeared for plaintiff, and Mr. C. W. Noilsen for defendant.
