THE MINE FIRE AT MILLERTON. (BV TELEGBAI'H—FRESS ASSOCIATION.) 1 Wcstport, March 4. The Millorton mine is now completely sealed up, and a four-inch water pipe is running in. No smoko is now issuing, and it is thought the fire is under control, and that, with an extra supply of water, it could soon be put out and work resumed inside a mouth. Wcstport, March 4. The Mino Creek air compressors wcro put into o]>cratkm this morning to drivo the steam into the mine, and it is stated that no smoke was noticed to emerge, leading to the belief that tho lire had been , extinguished. Some 30 men aro still at Millorton, but many are leaving to-day, as they consider it will bo at least six weeks before mining can bo resumed oven if the firo is out.
