I'our rooms of a six-roomed houso in Dyson Street, Temuka, together with their contents, were destroyed by fire this morning, fho building was owned, by tho Temuka Butter and Cheese Company, and occupied by Mr.G. Burns, a mombor of tho firm,'who was absent from lidme. Mrs. Burns- was awakened about midnight by smoke, and aroused her neighbours, who subdued the outburst. Sho. apparently left some .firo, ■ however, as it broko out again at six o'clock. The building was insured for £200 .in the Victoria Office. . , DAIRY FACTORY DESTROYED. (BT TELEGRAPH —P&KSS ASSOCIATION.) . Hamilton, March 4. lho Eureka dairy factory was destroyed by lire this morning. Little could be done to stop the flames, and the whole place was demolished.' Only fifty boxes of butter were 1. Th « manager's houso was saved with difficulty. The factory and plant wcro insured for £2100 in the New Zealand Office. A CALL TO CAMBRIDGE'TERRACE. . A call was received by the Fire Brigade at 4.20 p.m. yesterday to a seven-roomed boardmghouse, No. 63 Cambridge Terrace occupied by Misses F. Owen and M. Egan, and owned by Mr. F. Sidey. .A front room and contents were .slightly damaged. The insurance on the contents was £100 in the State Office, OUTBREAK AT JOHNSONVILLE. Another fire occurred in the Manawatu yesterday, when two shops in tho Main Street at Johnsonville were destroyed. Tho outbreak started in a bootmaker's*shop, occupied by Mr. T. J. Leighton, who had recently removed from Molesworth Street, Wellington. Tho firo subsequently spread to tho adjoining premises of Mr. D. Morgan, fruiterer. The two buildings, which wore owned by Mr. T. Bould, were totally destroyed. The shop of Mr. T. Julius, tobacconist, 011 tho other side of the road was scorched, but a bucket brigade prevented serious damage. A good deal of Mn Morgan's furniture was saved. Tho insurances were £375 on Mr. Leighton's building, and £250 on Mr. Morgan's building, both covers being in the State Office.
