—♦ ANNUAL MEETING. Tlicro was a good attendance at tho annual meeting ot' the Wellington 1 hysical Training School Gymnasium at Dovey s rooms last Friday evening. Mr- w - »• Jones presided. , Tho committee's report congratulated members 011 tho present position of tho institution, but ,expressed regret that. tn« men's classes wero not more largely attended. Tho committee recommended thai other premises be secured, as those noi held did not provo a financial, success, ow i»g to the difliculty of finding tenants, lis eret was also expressed for the resignatioi of tho secretary (Mr. J. Lyon) on his ro moval to Christclmrch. Thanks . were aocortled to him and to Mr. Dovey, the instructor. Members were reminded that tno school was not run for profit, but solely m tho interests of. tho community. Tho balance-sheet for tho year showed: Receipts, £533 6s. lOd. (including tions £250 10s., colleges and schools £145 10s., and entertainments £88 Is. da.); expenditure, £545 7s. Id.
