At the conclusion of the business of tha Council of tho'New Zealand Lawn Tennia Association last night, the chairman, Mr. Malcolm Ross, took the opportunity ,of making a presentation of a gold watch to Mr. G, N. who has been secretary of the association since 1903. In making tha presentation, Mr. Ross referred to the excellent work Mr Goldie had'.dene on behalf of the association, and his modesty in refusing any honorarium. The association, now asked him to accept the watch, as a token of appreciation of, the'work he had done. Mr. Goldie, in responding, said ho had always attempted to do his best for a sport which ho had followed-for many'years; "in fact, since 'childhood.
