Sit,—A. great many country teachers have watted _in vain for somo. expression of : appreciation from the institute towards you and •. your staff for ..ably championing the cause of our profession, not only in the re-' 'Cent salary trouble, but in all important .educational:, matters.. ./We, of the country, sincerely hope that their attitude will not mislead you a3 to the kindly and appreciative teehng which we. entertain towards The Dominion, which has done so 'much in so short a time .for the majority of teachers, it is known to all of ns that had The Dominion not found that.point about the "minimum," the. institute would hare slept quietly: on.--The £90 minimum hardly, affected the city teacher 1 , and if the country teacher/suffered, what matter?
