SUPREME COURT SITTINGS.

PALMERSTQN NORTH. Palmerston North, February 19. Albert Robert Musgrovo, and Albert Thompson, stock doalers, of Foilding, were ■ tried at tho Supromo Court to-day for broaches of the Bankrupt Act, the most serious of which was obtaining credit by false balance-sheets. Musgrovo was found guilty of not keeping proper books, incur, ring debts without reasonable grounds-jof expectation of being able to pay tho same, andrash speculation; and Thompson of failing to keep proper books. Both were acquitted on - the more serious charges, Musgrovo was sentenced to four months' imprisonment and Thompson to two.
