A special general meting of tho • Victoria College Students'• Association.,was 'held ; last evening;. at Victoria .College. .Mr... O'Leary oooupied tho chair. Mr. O'Loaryj on .behalf of the Gymnasium Committee, explained tho position of the fund. The sum collected,. including., tho Government subsidy,: amounts to £1340. ;; A sum of £200 has-been spont in excavation, and a contract let for tho crection. of a building at a cost of £1440. There is thus a:;deficit of £300 : without proTiding , for fittings.' The meeting' discussed the; question of ways and-means,- and it was decided to open a: subscription list among the' students.;. Those! present; '.undertook to form themselves into, sub-committees to make a; canvass of. 'students and, friends of •• the college. Tho sum of £10 was subscribed in tho room. ' •
