M'Kenzio (in the cll&ir), Cairiis, Brocklebank, Hill) M'Dougall, and this .R-ov. A. Thomson. . The requisition. signed fiy-.the_ parents of tliO'sd attten'dilig the District' Hign School, .asking that the institution be converted into a. hign sohool proper was discussed. _ There were iifty-five signatures to the petition; On the motion of the.chairman it was resolved that the. requisition be id'rwardecl . iff tne Education Board, with th<S request that theapplicatioh be granted. It wai alsd decided to ask Mr. T. W. M'Donald to present it to ■the board.
A letter was received from .the Education Board, asking the committee to sst up a subcommittee in conjunction, with those of the Education and Technical Boardsj to deal with the proposed afccomhibdatioh tif high sclidol pupifs in the Technical School.. Mr. Thomson said that. th'b blatter had;: B&in . befofre the Teclihicil Board, and he objected tb it as it had beeii dealt with by the School Committee, which was the body controlling the secondary classes.; To .open the matter, a J)Wvi6ys resolution would nave to be rescinded.'
