THE HUTT SCHOOL TROUBLE. Rather an unexpected development has happened concerning tije controversy, over tho staffing of the Hirtt Catholic School. It appears thai no v reply has been received from the Pope to tho original letter which was Bent to him inviting his judgment /on the question of the school government, and it' is 1 stated to be tho intention of the parishioners opposed to the chance to send another lettei stating their sido of the case A meeting to consider the subject will be . held shortly. , A Dominion representative called on Mr. E. P, Bunny last night* in reference- to the matter. That gentleman'was vejv reticent on tho subject and averse te making anything further ♦ .. . "There is no authority/' he replied, "for saying that anything further -will, in the meantime, be sent to Rome until some communication arrives relating to ihc subject of the appeal." ~ , Do von know anything about the meeting to be held regarduip; tho proposed letter? "NOj I don't. Wo are waiting for an authoritative reply from Rome, as vte are given, to understand that Home deals very exhaustively with v any appeal, and gives a decision in the most formal manner under seal." * ~ , Havo anv further steps been taken in accordance with tho motion earned last Sunday' "Wo know nothing about the cablegram supporting tho change except what we r«id in the newspapers. When something.;definite is known, then wo mil havo to consider ii hat course of action is to be followed."
