Technical Education Board,' and: to Mr. 'Lee, chairman: of. the Wellington Education Board, for having permitted the.'plans of hospital alterations to be eiliibitod in the Education 'Offices.-■'.'"-. ; -.' : 'The", trustees also expressed- thanks to Drs. Hay and Valintine; and Mr.' J. Campbell (Government Architect) for Having judged the plan's for hospital extension, and to Mr. Trevor, who estimated the cost'of carrjnng but the different designs... , .:. ; '- ■',;.■-.. -■.;.'' ■■ ;;: '•-.■• .-, The\ statement .of receipts and. expenditure showed a balance of 19s. 2d. A comparison of the,admissions for the fortnight, January:2s' to /February 8, with the corresponding period of-last year, gave the following;— General Hospital:' 1908, 207; ■ 1909,. 197. Victoria Hospital: 1908,. 39; 1909, 36.: Seddon 1 Hospital: 1908, 21: 1909,.211- >Total: 1908, 267; 19091:254. Fees from outpatients had amounted to .£l4, ■as .against :j£2K3s. .forthe. previous ; fortnight; arid from .inpatients previous two weeks ,£149 16s. . :-, The House Committee recommended:—That a deed of lease in duplicate of part o£ Section 580, Pipitea Street, Wellington, from the Wellington Hospital- contributors -to- the Wellington-City Corporation, be signed.and sealed; that tho resignation, of' Nurse Pownall be accepted; that Messrs.- Eouse and: Black's tender for new tipdray (the lowest) be accepted;.that certain re-' pairs to the building at the corner of Adelaide Road and' Hospital Eoad bo' carried • out, and the asphalted: fronting, at, tho main entrance to the hospital, be, top-dressed; .that .40, loads of soil.. for top-dressing ..be. procured. .
