Two hundred yards from home Canterbury spurted, passing Union and gaining on Star, but Star wop by a length and a half, with Canterbury second and Union third. Turner and Lambert in the Star crew rowed extremely well, and seemed to bo stronger than tho stroke side. Canterbury had tho. inside ' running and smoothest water.'
