M a Leicester inquest a vordiot of acci. dental death was given in tho case of a youth of nineteen, named Iloiborf Staples, who died from meningitis after injury received in a football match. It appeared from the evidence that tho deceased headod the ,ball directly from a corner kick, and immediately- afterwards complained of pain in tho hoad, Ho continued to play, but a few days afterwards took to his bod ; and was found to bo suffering from meningitis.
