Kelburne Ladies' Bowling Club. The Kelburne green has presented quite an animated appearance lately, and some \ery interesting play has taken place in connection with the trophy presented to the Ladies' Bowling Club by the club's president, Lady Ward Miss Hilda Hamerton ultimately proved victorious after a most keenly contested game with Mrs. Knowles. Tho result of the play was —First round: Mrs. Daniel (22) beat Mrs. Miller (18), Mrs. Watkms (26) beat Miss Hartland (16), Mrs. Knowles (23) beat Mrs. M'Robio (11), Mrs. Dawson (22) beat Miss Baldv (11). Byes: Miss Hamerton, Mesdames Williamson, Devine, and M'Villy, Miss Webbi Second round: Miss Hamerton (29) beat Mrs. M'Villy (7), Mrs. Knowles (24) beat Mrs. Devine (12), Miss Webb (23) beat Mrs. Dawson (11), Mrs. Williamson (21) beat Mrs. Dinnio (18). Third round: Miss Hamerton (22) beat Mrs. Williamson (13), Mrs. Knpwies (26) beat Miss Webb (14). Final. Miss Hamerton (18) beat Mrs. Knowles (16). Play for the trophj presented bv Miss Williams is now proceeding. The club has issued an invitation to the Greytown ladies to a friendly match at Kelburne, and is anxiously awaiting to hear the date to make final arrangements, and select the rinks to meet the visitors.Notes from the Hutt. Miss Buokhurst and Miss S. Barraud are at present staying with Mrs. J. Barlthrope at Silverhope. Mr. and Mrs. Barraud and family have returned to the Hutt, after having spent several weeks at their house at Muntai. Miss Johnston returned last Friday from a trip to Rotorua and Auckland, where she spent several weeks. Tho Misses Stuart-Forbes, who have been spending several weeks in. the Marlborough district, have returned to the H.itt.
