It was formerly the residence of the late Hon. R Campbell, and is handsomely decorated throughout. Tho building itself will require only a few alterations,to fit it for the purpose for which it is intended. A few boys are at present m the home, which has accommodation for forty or fifty lads. A completo survey of 1 the, estate, which contains 340 acres, is at present being "made u<th the object' of ascertaining tho Tbest method of" bringing in water for fire prevention and domestic supply, and a comprehensive scheme af drainage.
