(m iEL»aßAm.—special csimrsposDKOT.J Auckland, February 2. What must constitute a record, in Auckland cricket competitions waa put up by Waikino in their matoh against Waihi City •on Saturday last. They dismissed the Waihi team for 3 runs in the first innings, the bowlers, Butler and Lentfer, securing four v wiokots for 1 run and four wickets for 2 runs respectively, and the latter performed the "hat trick." Waikino's score was 61, and City in their second effort reached 27., Butlor again bowled splendidly and captured 5 wickets for 6 runs. These teams play in the senior grade of the'Waihi Association shield competition.
