0~ — The' Hutt Valley Gun. Club held a iIOO live pigeon match; on the club's/grounds, at Taita, on' January 21. The day was fine, with a north-west wind.blowing across the traps. The birds were good: lot, and.,-fairly, tested the skill of the .'.shooters.' Four competitors shot all their birds, (14), apd divided,-the -stakes, taking X 25 each, Messrs. Woolven, Hancock, Robertson, and Brasscl), being the successful 3hots. They, then fired for the fine; oup presented by. the Nobels' Explosives-Co.,' Ltd., Glasgow; Hancock, a, member of" the -Hutt club, eventually winning , with., a score of _27 kills, in succession, his clubmate, Brassell, being runnerup . with. 26. ■ The meeting was brought to a close with a £1 sweepstake, in which fifteen competitors took part.
