The'trophies are hand- . " some cups, and competition should be-very keen amongst tho local signallers.' Tho conditions of the competitions are as follow,!— Morse Challenge Cup. -"; The Morse Challenge Cup will bo- competed for annually, tho first competition to j take place next month. - -< Open for competition to teams of four , men from any company in the Wellington. s garrison, each member of tho winniiig-toara 1 to receive.a medal; entrance fee, 45.--oer team. :? Each man will send and receive one •service message of' 150 letters (including answers, check letters, etc.); messages, are . to be filled in correctly en proper forme , mistakes in filling in -the form to be-de- , ducted from the total; the time for each message, including filling ;n message forms will be 5 minutes. T , Points will be awarded for tho whole team as follow:—Accuraoy, 60—1 point deducted for each mistake; sending, 20-4 points-de-ducted if sending is only good, '8 if >-only fair, 12 if only indifferent; time, lOt-1 point .deducted for every 10 seconds or part of 10 seconds over time for each message: ,writing, s—points deducted if writing slovenly or illegible; drill and general bearing" 5total, 100. * ' 'Che regulation small Morse flags to be used.
