Annis (a New York publisher) at Long Islaad last August by Captain Hains (of the United States Artillery), the latter's brother, Thornton Hains (a writer of sensational novels), has been acquitted on the charge of- being an accessory. The trial took place at Flushing, Long Island Captain Hains is awaiting trial
