V TE ARO CLUB RACE., .; " ; •'. The only sailing evoht x decided on Saturday afternoon was a race 'under the/auspices of the Te Aro Sailing: Club. A fresh southerly wind helped.the boats found, and the course; was covered ■. in smart time. The starters were:—Rival, Raumatai, Juliet, Winfrcd, >and Maroro. Raumatai carried away, her, mainsail at : the start," and had to retire from the race; Maroro, off scratch, finished 'first, with Winfred (Gmin.', handicap) next, and. Rival (2Jmin.) third.. After deducting the .time allowances, Winfred sailed by ,R. Highet, ;took first; place, Maroro, sailed' by T. Highet, was second; and Rival, sailed by S. M l Williams, was third.
