VETERINARY APPOINTMENT.
Mr. Geo. E. Owen, M.R.C.V.S., of Pahnoriton, has (says our correspondent) been appointed a member of ttie veterinary staff at' : Ashburtori.- : Mr. Owen has been stationed .-■ in Mart-on and Palmerston-for. tho past five years,: and during that period has Tbuili;up a lucrative practice, which ho disposed'of a ' few months back. Mr: Owen, who leaves for Ashburton next weok, is well known in sporting .circles as the owner of. Cardiff, and ' the lato owner of Lothair.
