ANOTHER RAILWAY COMPLAINT.

I was subject to this morning in connection with the management of the, section' of railway lately.acquired by the Government from tho ■Manawatu .Railway Company.■■: I was a : ■through .passenger .by th 0..7.50 .train this morning to Rangataua. Iwas,afc the , sta-, tion with 20 minutes 1 to; spare. I had my own return, ticket, but had to receive* tioket for a valuable dog I wis taking with me. I insquired, of a porter'whero' I could book ,my canine friendl. He showed me in a 'most: abrupt manner, iho office : used for that pur-'' pose;: Iwent: along to the place.indicated to me;and.was met with, the information that there was no tioket issued here for .dogs, and that I could get a ticket for him at the general booking .office.,. "Nothing daunted, I went back with the following rosult:—l was told this was nbt.tke'office'tobook dogs,.and was treated with tho-utmost coutompt- arid discourtesy I was over subjected to lu. • my life, arid l.havoboenaresideiitiof this'- fair. country, of ours., for ;40 years."..' One.''officer went as far as .to shut the.door in-my face.'. However,.it'has been the' means of me losing my train, whioh means.a considerable amount, to me.''
