SHEEP STATION LIBRARIES.
One of tho features of the Te Parai sheep station (writes our Wairarapa correspondent) is its library, which possesses over 500 very handsomely-bound volumes of general literature The library fund is subsidised by the owners of tho station, Messrs. H. G. and 'A ( Williams, and every man on tho place , is entitled to beoomo a member-on payment of a moderate subscription There is also a read-ing-room, where are, filed various x Wellington and provincial newspapers. Station hands are usually 'omnivorous readers, 'and' tho Te Parai library, which is under the genial superintendence of the clerk, Mr. Isitt, is much appreciated The Brancepeth ■ station, farther along, also runs a 'large library for the benefit of its staff. ,
