At the quarterly meeting of the, Government Railways Superannuation Board, the •Hon. J. A. Minister for Railways, presiding, retiring allowances aggregating £2260 9s. Bd. were passed to twenty-five employees, As. the result of the payment of £15QQ by the Amalgamated Society of Rail-; way Servants to allow broken service caused by tho maritime. strike to count for super-, nnnuation., increased allowances, varying from £8 to £32 & year, were passed to seven men already on superannuation; Refunds of contributions totalling £1170 18s, Ed, were passed, and allowances amounting to £191 per, annum were authorised to be paid tq seven widows and five children of deceased railway men. In the cases of two deceased employees who had received bobio superannuation payments, the refund of £80 13s. 2d. to their representatives was authorised, this being the difference between their payments and the amount received in benefits. - :
