The committee of the Civil Service Board to which has been entrusted the detailed investigation of the 'recommendations ! made by heads of departments regarding the classification of the public service' is meeting daily , (states, the "Civil Service Journal"). The committee hopes to be able to repiort to the board during January, so as to give the board full time in > which: to "review the Recommendations,' and in its- turn report to the-Government before tho end of tho nancial; year.,;'lf tho Government is satis,fied with the: recommendations, it will send them on to Parliament for confirmation. If not. it will send them back, to tHe board for revision* - In any oase, it is the desib of the board that its report shall be submitted to Parliament, at tho commencement of next session, and thus bring about the seliemo of classification.
