: The Missions: to Seamen Institute was crowded to the doors,; in spito of tho wot . weather, last night, when a most delightful • concert-was~provided by the Misses Baker ■ and Levestam.. The chair wasoccupied by the: : Missi'oner7(Mr'. ''iranies 'Moore),*: who : duririgVa . short interval delivered a temperahce address, . taking the words "Sorao Tips'for 1909". for', a subject.;. Several men subsequently took the pledge of total abstinence as a result of the address. A conundrum competition was held, and was. won by sailors' from ships iti port.
