A. delightful.'tea was given yesterday afternoon at her homo in Hobson' Street .by Mrs.: Newman, as a farewell for Mrs. Joseph and Miss Joseph,, who. leave next week 011 a trip' to 'England. A-number of guests were present,; and tho' rooms woro decorated with; beautiful flowers, roses being used for .tho adornment of; .tho tea-table. Among other's :present were Mrs. and Miss Joseph, Mrs. Griico, Mrs. Murray-Menzies, Mrs, and Miss. Miles, Mrs. C. J. Johnston, and Miss DorisJohnston, Mrs. Dymock, Mrs. Barron, and Mrs. Lan Duncan. - Mrs. George Pearce has been, staying witlr. Mrs. Bidwili,' at Featherston. ['■' '. ' Dr. Ross, of Masterton, and, his 1 family, are leaving for England by tho I'ainui. ; - Miss,-Barron is staying with Mrs. - Joe Studholme. ■ .
