FEILDING.
The annual New Year;gathering of the Plymouth Brethren took .plaoe in Feilding last week, there being present' representatives from all over the Dominion. Meetings wore_ held in the Gospel Hall on Saturday, and ill the evening an open-air meeting took place in Manchester Square. Instructive and spirited' addresses we.ro given at the indoor .meetings, which were .principally for members of "the. Brothron. Followora Q f the Saviour were urged to Jive lives of atriot obedienceto the Word of God, and it was strongly pointed out. that the only source of Divine knowledge and teaching was the Biblo. Man , ? ideas, apart from tho Scriptures, were not only misleading, but, positively injurious- to tho souls ofinen. At the open-air meeting Gospel addresses, given with force and simplicity, were listened to with great attention. The meetings : will continuo to-day. ' Mr. "'W. J.- Morton, statioiimast-er, is reported to be a little improved in health during the Jast few days, altltoiiglj he is not y«t able to undergo the operation for which ho is preparing. : . , • . On Friday the annual picnio and tea of the members and adherents of thp Sandoullongotca Wesley an Churoh waa held at the Recreation Ground, ■' Sanson. There was a largo attendance, including tho Rev, C, E, Beooroft (president flf the conference), the Rev, T. C. Oarr (Marton), and the local ministers, tho Reve. J, .M'Nicoll.'a'nd M'Arthur, Rofi'Qshinvnta wore, provided by the lnclios, and the customary games "wore enJoyed by younc and old, ' Altogether it was a. roost sucuessful gathering, •, ■■ •: .
