BODY FOUND IN THE HARBOUR. The body of a married women named Elizabth Janb Reeve, 45 years of age, was found floating in the harbour yesterday. Deceased, who had been missing from her home in Little Taranaki Street since October 15, was a uativo of Ireland, and was subject to fits. A prohibition order was, in- force against her. The body was found, floating in ,a water-Hole which is being : filled', in- at the new dock site,- and was"-' removed to' the Morgue : by Constable 1 M'Kelyie. The engine ran into a siding, taking some trucks of coal for the city, when a rail broke. The engine and trucks left the rails, ran into _ a ditch, and struck a clay bank. A special train left Christchurch and brought tho passengers in at 1.30 p.m. The track was old and under repair. Men engaged on the work, who were camped a' mile away, put matters to rights, although rain was falling heavily.

An inquest was held yesterday, by Dr. A', M'Arthur, S.M., coroner, on the body of a married woman named Caroline Emma Wallace, wife of Andrew Wallace, a Harbour Board employee, who died suddenly at her residence, Hamilton Road, Kilbirnio, at 10 o'clock yesterday morning, during confinement. Evidence showed that Mrs. Wallace, who was being looked aftor by a certificated nurse took a bad turn suddenly, and expired before Dr. Bowerbank, who was sent for immediately, arrived. . A verdict of death from embolism was returned.
