PENNANT MATCHES POSTPONED. The heavy rain which fell on Friday made it extremely dubious as to whether tho bowling greens, • spongy with tho winter's spell, would bo playable, but though rain threatened more or less all tho day, nono fell, and on inspection the greens wore found to be quite fit for play, though on the heavy side. It was, however, dcettood advisable to postpone tho first round of senior pennant matches that were set down for Saturday, and these will be played on noxt Saturday afternoon, as will alt-o tho junior pennant matches (which have boen reduced to a onerink Contest). Though the sky was threateningly overcast at times, there were fairly good musters at the city greens, when the play was mostly of the "getting into form" order. WELLINGTON CLUB.
