TUG OF WAR,
The finals of the tug-of-war between tho two teams of drivers who proved so evenly matched at the Labour l)ay sports were decided at Wonderland,- Miramar, on Saturday afternoon. The position was that No. 1 team on Labour Day won the first of tl.f three tugs, which lasted 1 hour 40 minutes. On Saturday afternoon, No. 2 team, after pull ing for (55 minutes, made matters equal. In tin' last contest, however, No. 1 had'tho advantage from tho start, and gradually woro their opponents down, winning in 35 minutes. There was a very fair number of barrackers. Tho average weight of No. 1 team (T. O'Brien captain) was 13st. 3Ub., and that of No. '2 team (Spargo, captain) 13st. 61b. Mr. J. Doyle was judge, and Mr. A. Bloch .secretary. At the conclusion, a trophy was presented to the winning team by the donor, Mr. 11. Fletcher. '
