MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
(Before Mr. W. G. Riddell, S.M.) , POLICE CASES. A young man named John George Edward Harris, alias Georgo Mitchell, was charged (1) with having, at Wollington, on July.27; stolen a bicycle valued at £6, the property of Robert Hendry; and (2) with having, on August 21, at Paeroa, stolen a bicycle valued'at £7 10s., the property of J. and H. Harp. On the application of Chief Detective M'Grath, accused was remanded until October 30. Florenco M'Donald, charged . with insobriety, was convicted and ordered to pay oxpenscs 17s. 6d., in default 48 hours! imprisonment. Five first offenders wero, each convicted, and fined 55., in default 24 Hours' imprisonment.
