The hatches were also lifted, Mid the crew commericod to bail with buckets. It was soon seen, howevar, that these methods were not sufficient to cope With the iiiflow of water, and it was decided to beach the vessel at Pipitea Point (Thorridon), to whioh she was then taken. Tho water had found 'its way into the front hold, but it is stated that thoro is no cargo in that part of tho steamer.
