; EIRE 'AT A MILITARY DRILL HALL. GUNS DESTROYED. (BT TBLEGBArB—rBESS ASSOCIATION—COPTBIGHT.) (Rec. October 23, 10.55 p.m.). Sydney, October 23. A fire at Wagga Wagga (on' the SydneyMelbourne railway, 309 miles south-west of Sydney) destroyed the military drill hall, containing two 12-pounder guns, a quantity of rifles and accoutrements, and 10,000 rounds of ammunition. The explosives kept up a fusillade for half an hour, rendering the work of salvage daV gerous. , The Fire Brigade concentrated their efforts on drenching a portion of tho building containing 2001b. of gunpowder. They succeeded in preventing the powder from exploding.
