Tho stock and fittings of tho latter were lost and the buildings slightlydamaged. There were no insurances. Feilding, October 21. A four-roomed - houco, unoccupied, and owned by Mrs. Sinclair, was mysteriously destroyed by fire at Cheltenham last night. There was an insurance in the Phoeuix Office of £100.. The police received advico yesterday of three fires in the out-districts. A threeroomed cottage at tlio. Upper Hutt, owned and occupied by Mr. Clms. Downing, was destroyed at 11 a.m. on October 19. Tlio building was insured for- £100 in the Commercial Union office, but tho furniture was not insured. .A shop and rosidenco at Fcathorston were also totally destroyed. Tho building was insured for £250 in tho Commercial Union, and was owned by Mr' J. Viles. A six-roomed house at, Takajka, owned and occupicd by Mr. Wm. J. Lewis, was totally destroyed at 1 a.m. on October 16. The building w*s insured in tho Sun office for £100 and in the Alliance for £80. . There was a cover for £35 on the furniture in the Sun office.
